Bennet Wraps Up Successful 'Fighting for Colorado’s Future' Tour

Colorado -- After traveling thousands of miles and having countless conversations with his fellow Coloradans, Michael Bennet wrapped up the first leg of the 'Fighting for Colorado's Future' tour in Grand Junction last Saturday.

Throughout the tour, in both red and blue parts of the state, Michael shared his vision for a brighter future, calling on politicians in Washington to start solving problems and stop playing politics.

At all 11 stops on the 'Fighting for Colorado's Future' tour, Michael noted that despite the cable news channels we may choose to watch, we all share the same aspirations for our children and our grandchildren, which are far greater than the bickering we see play out daily in a broken Washington.

"I haven't been in Washington very long, but I've been there long enough to see that the whole place is broken. It's time to change the way Washington does business, not by sending professional politicians to Congress, but by taking a new approach focused on solving problems, not playing politics," said Michael.

In Eagle, local small business owners spoke about their support for Michael because of his real-world experience turning around failing companies, and his steadfast work in the Senate to support Colorado's small businesses and the jobs they create.

At a stop in Montrose, a family farmer from Olathe threw his support behind Michael Bennet -- a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee -- saying he was the right person to fight for Colorado and it's agricultural heritage.

In Denver, School Board Member Theresa Peña praised Michael's leadership and commitment to fixing our public schools so that every child in Colorado has an opportunity to succeed.

During the last year, Michael has traveled more than 25,000 miles having conversations with people across the state, and taking that Colorado common sense back to Washington with him.
