Michael Bennet Helps Install Solar Panels to Highlight New Jobs Potential

Colorado -- Michael Bennet grabbed a hammer, climbed up on the roof, and lent a hand to a family installing a solar panel array on their Denver home. With more than 300 days of sunshine annually and a deep interest in green energy opportunities, Colorado is poised to lead the nations in building a clean energy economy.

Michael joined employees of solar power systems provider Solar City as they completed the final installation of a 5 kilowatt solar array, which was manufactured in the United States.

Michael is a strong advocate for strengthening our clean energy economy as a way to help spur job creation and decrease our dependence on fossil fuels. Solar City plans to expand by approximately 40 new employees before the end of the year.

The Solar Manufacturing Jobs Creation Act, which is working its way through the Senate with Michael's strong support, will help Colorado lead the nation in job creation while reducing our demand for unclean energy sources.
