Bennet Votes Against Murkowski Resolution to Weaken Clean Air Act

Washington -- Michael Bennet voted against the Murkowski Resolution today, and helped to defeat a Republican effort to cripple the Clean Air Act.

Had it passed, the Murkowski Resolution would have stripped the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of having the power to regulate greenhouse gases starting next year.

"I oppose the Murkowski resolution because it would gut the Clean Air Act -- one of our nation's strongest and most effective pieces of legislation," Michael said.

Sen. Mark Udall joined Michael in voting against the resolution.
